Earthquake: 4.5 quake strikes near Castaic, Calif.

A shallow magnitude 4.5 earthquake was reported Saturday evening eight miles from Castaic, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 7:18 p.m. Pacific time at a depth of 5.0 miles.
