The Northern Traverse is a 190-mile, non-stop race that starts from St Bees in Cumbria and concludes in Robin Hood Bay on the east coast. Passing through three national parks, the race is inspired by Alfred Wainwright’s classic Coast to Coast walk. Here is race-winner Eoin Keith, leaving Patterdale in the Lake District on day one, as the light disappears. He completed the journey in an incredible two days, three hours and 38 minutes
