The most invaluable bit of kit this summer is surely this Cynthia Rowley sharkproof wetsuit, designed with a pattern that, we’re told, is scientifically proven to help deter shark attacks. Now, while Peter Benchley taught us that sharks rely on smell than sight and the law of averages means you’re probably more likely to strangle yourself with the arms while putting it on that get attacked by a shark, it is pretty. It also, incidentally, protects against the sun and, unlike most wetsuits, is rash-proof. Science, schmience.
