I worked for almost 11 years for a government body that was closed last year. I was transferred to another organisation (non-governmental) that took over the same regulatory function, but am utterly miserable. I’m 57 and don’t seem able to adapt to the change. It’s a highly competitive environment and we have impossible targets and deadlines. There’s no expertise so as an “old hand” I’m expected to advise colleagues while maintaining my own delivery.
