Does the word ‘cyclist’ sends you into a furious rage? You’re in luck! This quiz will make you feel much better

Earlier this week, my colleague Peter Walker wrote in-depth about the recent backlash against cycling, which has ranged from damaging media representations to tacks being left on the road and wires strung across popular cycle paths.

The piece received thousands of comments, many of them supportive of the article but many repeating the kind of generalisations and stereotypes it set out to challenge. In fact, it featured the kind of generalisations and stereotypes which any regular reader of cycling articles would find wearyingly familiar.
