I want to become a software developer – how do I go about doing that?

I fell in love with computer programming on a course for my current job as a project manager, and want to switch career. But I need advice on how to do that

I’ve been working in various roles for a large organisation for the past 10 years since graduating. I’m currently a project manager earning a decent salary, and I’m in my late 20s.
